• ESPON closes 4th Calls for Proposals and Expression of Interests with 69 applications

By 20 November 2009, a total of 69 applications had been received involving 385 partners and stakeholders that during the last months have worked hard in getting common applications ready for submission in time.

This transnational cooperation is one of the hallmarks of the ESPON 2013 Programme and the result of the open calls is a concrete example of the growing acknowledgement of a European perspective upon territorial development and cohesion.

Until January 2010 the Coordination Unit will be processing all applications received according to the procedures outlined to the ESPON 2013 Programme Manual, i.e. conducting eligibility checks and evaluations.

The outcome of the individual evaluation sessions will be reported to the ESPON Monitoring Committee (MC) at its meeting on  mid February 2010 at which the MC will also be asked for decisions. The decision of the MC will be notified to all Lead Applicants.
