  • ESPON Contact Points (ECPs)

The ESPON Contact Points (ECPs) Network is a European wide network of national institutions nominated by the Member and Partner States involved in the ESPON 2013 Programme which have been confirmed by the ESPON Monitoring Committee.

In total, 30 national ESPON Contact Points exist as Liechtenstein has chosen to be covered by the Swiss ECP. Each ECP institution is represented by a contact person.

The aim of the ESPON Contact Point network is to support the capitalization of ESPON results in the transnational context, and to improve the sensitivity and awareness of policy makers and practitioners. The network shall as well contribute with transnational/national network and scientists to territorial knowledge at European level. Altogether this would amplify involvement in ESPON from all parts of Europe.

The ECP activities at transnational level are carried through as projects under Priority 4 of the ESPON 2013 Programme. Here groupings of ECPs implement Transnational Networking Activities following an overall strategy for their project.

Information on the transnational activities for the ESPON 2006 Programme is available under 'Transnational Networking Activities'.
