Michael Smyth, European Economic and Social Committee EESC
Michael Smyth, commenting on ESPON and its support to territorial policy on national, regional and city level said: "ESPON does support a more streamlined approach to policy making at those levels, simply because ESPON provides information in a very accessible way, in a visual way, in a way that is very easily understood by policymakers, by stakeholders".
"ESPON enables better policy making now and in the future. The whole idea of ESPON is to find out where the constraints are, find out where the problems lie and to try to identify ways of solving those problems", he added.
