Transnational Project Groups
Transnational Project Groups (TPGs) involving spatial research institutes from at least three Member States are carrying out the ESPON research projects.
Each TPG has to apply the “Lead Partner Principle”. This project management structure implies that one partner (Lead Partner) holds the financial and administrative responsibility for the whole project and involved project partners.
Research institutes from at least six Member States need to be partners in cross-thematic projects, implemented under the Priority 3 of the Programme.
The map below gives an overview on the geographical distribution of TPG – Partnerships indicating the location within Europe of the Lead partners (red dots) and Project partners (blue dots) based on 30 ESPON projects.
The composition of each single TPG and respective contact details can be found here.
