  • Transnational Project Groups

Transnational Project Groups (TPGs) involving experts from institutions representing at least three Member States and/or Partner States are carrying out the ESPON projects.

Each TPG has to apply the “Lead Partner Principle”. This project management structure implies that one partner (Lead Partner) holds the financial and administrative responsibility for the entire project and the involved project partners.

Project partners in ESPON Projects under Priority 1, 2 and 3 can include public as well as private bodies. For Priority 4, Transnational Network Activities, the TPG’s are composed of institutions nominated by Member and Partners States as national ESPON Contact Points and confirmed by the Monitoring Committee.

The composition of each single TPG currently implementing ESPON projects and their respective contact details can be found here.
