1) Polycentric urban agglomerations across borders provide strong potential for supporting more balanced development of the European territory, complementing the classic larger cities as drivers of development.
2) Small and medium sized towns across the border in Belgium, Germany and France are capable of attracting high-skilled (national) labour force that adds up to the strength of the entire cross-border region.
3) Employment in high-tech and Knowledge Intensive Sectors (KIS) is concentrated in Luxembourg City, but the living places of their employees are clearly cross-border.
