On the eve of 2018, the voices asking for a stronger territorial approach to development policies in Europe became mainstream. Evidence in research and experience in real life underline that we can leave no place behind. Cooperation is essential: If problems have no borders, policies should be borderless to face them. 2019 brings a challenge for post-2020 Cohesion Policy: Become more European to better serve the local level.
