The German ESPON Contact Point operating in the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs, and Spatial Development (BBSR), within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR), cordially invites local stakeholders from the Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau to participate in a collaborative workshop. The workshop will leverage the innovative ACTAREA tool developed by ESPON to address and analyze the spatial needs within the region.
The webinar aimed at informing and assisting stakeholders in preparing applications for the call for expression of interests.
ESPON invited for an Information Day on New Calls on 18 May 2010 in Brussels. More than 200 participants attended the event. The presentations given during the day are available online.

The Interim Report of "ESPON Climate - Climate Change and Territorial Effects on Regions and Local Economies in Europe” presents a more detailed overview of the analytical approach to be applied by the project.
On 3 May 2010, Commissioner Johannes Hahn paid a visit to the Coordination Unit in Luxembourg. The Commissioner was thoroughly informed about the ESPON 2013 Programme, its mission and the many activities currently under implementation.
ESPON in close cooperation with the University Paris 7 - UMS RIATE, as Lead Partner of the ESPON 2013 Database Project, invited for a Workshop aimed at discussing the management of time series and the estimation of missing values.
