Financial Expert-permanent post

he ESPON EGTC is recruiting a Financial Expert to join its international team working on European territorial evidence relevant for policy making. The new staff member will be offered a permanent work contract and is supposed to take up the position as early as possible to support the implementation of the Single Operation financed by ESPON 2020 Cooperation Programme. the post will be based in Luxembourg.

As a financial expert, you will be responsible for drafting the EGTC Progress Reports, performing the internal financial controls and conducting public procurement procedures. As part of your key tasks, you will have to:

  • Draft the financial reports and submit the Progress Reports to the ESPON 2020 Managing Authority via electronic system.
  • Support the financial management of the EGTC and the internal monitoring and control of budgets, monitoring available funds.
  • Observe compliance of the ESPON EGTC activities regarding ESPON Programme and relevant EU Regulations and Guidelines, especially as regards the eligibility of
  • Cooperate with the First Level Financial Controller and relevant bodies or structures (Managing Authority, auditors, Interact etc.).
  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of internal financial and administrative procedures.
  • Implement implementation of public procurement procedures and contract management for specific activities together with project experts.
  • Ensure proper documentation for EGTC Audit trail.
  • Support in the Budget and Accounting Management.
