The first seminar addressing the progress of ongoing projects took place in Bordeaux on 10 - 11 December 2008.

The Publication Territorial Observation No1 is looking into Trends in population development across Europe and related to territorial cohesion and regional competitiveness.

A second call for expression of interest for the Knowledge Support System will be opened on 19 December 2008. The deadline is 12 February 2009.

The presentations given during the Workshop on 12 November 2008 are now available.

The aim of the service requested is the definition and compilation of a set of operational typologies of regions.

An ESPON Workshop took place at the Open Days, the European Week of Regions and Cities organised by the Committee of Regions and the European Commission.
