The German ESPON Contact Point operating in the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs, and Spatial Development (BBSR), within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR), cordially invites local stakeholders from the Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau to participate in a collaborative workshop. The European objective to achieve ‘No Net Land Take in 2050’ has taken spatial planners in the Netherlands by surprise. Other member states, however, have been actively trying to reduce their urban development for years. What can we learn from each other? That is the topic of the symposium on September 27.
The event will present the results of the ESPON HERITAGE and ESPON HERIWELL studies, that are both dedicated to cultural heritage. The event is organised under the auspices of the new ESPON 2030 Programme’s Thematic Action Plan “Perspective for all people and places” and the results will be used by national heritage institutions.
The aim of the workshop is to bring leading national policy experts on architectural and design policies from selected European EU Member States together with Croatian stakeholders and provide a better understanding of architectural policies in the EU, showcasing best practices and facilitating exchange of experiences and knowledge.
