Join us for the ESPON Seminar we organise in collaboration with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union on No Net Land Take trajectories: policies and practices across Europe, an event specifically dedicated to addressing topical policy debates surrounding land use in European regions and countries.

The German ESPON Contact Point operating in the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs, and Spatial Development (BBSR), within the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR), cordially invites local stakeholders from the Eurodistrict Strasbourg-Ortenau to participate in a collaborative workshop. The workshop will leverage the innovative ACTAREA tool developed by ESPON to address and analyze the spatial needs within the region.
The webinar aimed at informing and assisting stakeholders in preparing applications for the call for expression of interests.

ESPON announces the seminar “Evidence and knowledge needs for the Territorial Agenda 2020 and the EU Cohesion Policy”. Discuss with us the future of the EU cohesion policy and the consequences for European regions and cities on 21 and 22 June in Gödöllő. Registration is open.
Speaking to the ESPON Coordination Unit, policy makers emphasized the ways they can make use of the findings from the ReRisk Project while scientists highlighted evidence and scenarios on the impact of rising energy prices.
Targeted Analyses for Stakeholders: Territorial Evidence in Practice ESPON organises its first Conference on 11 May 2011 in Brussels. Discuss with us the use of territorial evidence in practice on the basis of the experiences with Targeted Analyses. Mr. Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for Regional Policy, and Mr. Claude Wiseler, Luxembourg Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructures will be present. Deadline for registration is 29 April.
The ESPON Coordination Unit is looking for two trainees for a period of 5 months to join our international team. The deadline for applying for the post is 13 May 2011.
