The service shall develop a step-by-step methodology describing how to determine the ex-post impact of any cross-border cooperation (CBC) programme on the territorial development of the border regions.

The service shall attempt to quantify the impacted contributions of the material cultural heritage to regional development over the past 5 years by establishing a set of comparable socio-economic indicators and performing data collection in the stakeholders’ territories.

The ESPON EGTC will tender 4 service contracts for Targeted Analyses:

The ESPON EGTC is looking for one Trainee for the unit Administration & Management for a period of 5 months, starting as soon as possible but preferably by December 2017. The work includes a variety of organisational, administrative and financial tasks related to public procurement processes, administrative checking of submitted tenders and proposals, contracting procedures, preparation of progress reports, and budget management. The service contract shall develop a European and macro-regional territorial monitoring tool to continuously observe territorial development trends and patterns. 

The service contract shall provide proofreading and editing of selected ESPON publications, reports and other communication material.

The service contract shall provide a high-quality web streaming service, covering the main events organised by the ESPON EGTC.

Capitalising on ESPON evidence, the service contract to be awarded shall develop a set of territorial indicators for the performance monitoring of European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programmes. The indicators shall facilitate the monitoring and evaluation efforts of Managing Authorities, Joint (Technical) Secretariats and other programme bodies involved in the implementation of  ETC programmes.

The applied research seeks to produce a long-term territorial development perspective for Europe, supporting EU post-2020 policies and investment programmes.
