Tamási Járás - PROFECY

Each case study within the PROFECY project looks into real inner peripheral problems and by applying the theoretical concepts and analysing the critical factors and drivers in the inner peripheral processes aims to improve practical responses. The Tamási district in Hungary has large distances from urban centres and weak connectedness resulting in spatial and social disadvantages and weakness in terms of service-provisioning in the many small villages. This case study discusses the processes that causes their peripherality and opportunities to address it, such as available labour, industrial sites, natural assets and investing in education.
