Aim

The purpose of this activity is to provide strategic support to the ESPON EGTC for the implementation of innovative and targeted outreach activities at transnational, national and sub-national level. The activities to be carried out will include the organisation of various events in innovative ways, drafting of shorter publications, promotional campaigns and language translations.

The transnational outreach activities should be tailor-made to the specific policy interest and needs of the stakeholders and target groups of ESPON in the concerned territories and make use of the evidence produced through the activities within the applied research and targeted analysis as well as the monitoring and tools activities.

Main results

The strategic framework for the transnational outreach activities is the Outreach Strategy of the ESPON EGTC. The main expected results are thus to better integrate research in policy making, to provide quick responses to demand for territorial evidence and analyses, to engage closely with old and new key stakeholders at national, regional and local levels and to promote the transnational uptake of ESPON evidence.

Main activities

Large and small scale events will be organized at transnational, national and sub-national level including 4 conferences, 8 seminars, 8 workshops, 8 training sessions and 4 e-learning courses.

Shorter documents will be produced to stimulate interest in the evidence and findings produced by ESPON among relevant target groups and stakeholders. This includes 12 transnational briefs, 8-10 transnational observations and 40-50 posters.
