Analysing the undergoing economic restructuring process (that resulted in decreasing the share of manufacturing in employment) and of different spatial and structural consequences in the competition for industrial land for Warsaw metropolitan area. Reassessing the strategic relationship between manufacturing and production systems and development necessities, considering the critically and complex debate around real estate pressure on land use potential, deindustrialisation/the fourth industrial revolution or metropolitan governance (and the role and tools of the public sector in influencing spatial development process).
