We are pleased to share that the registration is now open to the upcoming event on « Urban Greening and No Net Land Take (NNLT) », taking place on Tuesday, 9 December 2025 at De Wijnaert in Ghent.
The program is from 9h30 to 17h30 and includes key notes on the development of green infrastructure that contributes to building more livable cities while pursuing the objective of achieving NNLT. Various projects and strategies will be showcased through local case studies from Belgium and Europe. The event is organized in collaboration with VRP, HOGENT, the Belgian ESPON Contact Point (BECP), and the Belgian Contact Points for URBACT and EUI.
Directions:
De Wijnaert is located in the historic centre of Ghent, right between St Bavo’s Cathedral and the Reep, just 50 metres from the ‘Gent Duivelsteen’ bus and tram stop, and 250 metres from the ‘Gent Reep’ bus stop. If you’re travelling from Ghent-Sint-Pieters Station, you can easily reach the venue by tram, bus, or bike. Take tram line 1 (direction Evergem) or bus 70–78 (direction Gent Zuid) and get off at ‘Gent Duivelsteen’. From there, it’s only a 2-minute walk (about 50 metres) to the venue. Cycling takes around 15 minutes, and there are bike-sharing options such as Blue-bike and Donkey Republic available at the station. Walking from the station takes about 35 minutes. Paid parking is available at Parking Reep (150 m), Parking Kouter (400 m), and Parking Vrijdagmarkt (700 m).
