This targeted analysis focuses on the Carpathian area, and aims to deliver evidence identifying specific territorial development trends, challenges and opportunities for its regions. It will provide recommendations for joint policy actions under the Carpathian Convention to untap the area’s potential for a more dynamic, sustainable and socio-economic development, including the preservation of the natural environment, its landscape, the cultural heritage and the territorial specificity of mountain areas.

Podkarpackie Voivodeship (PL) is the Lead Stakeholder together with the

Consiliul Judetean Maramures (RO),

Prešov self‐governing region ‐ Department of Strategic Development (SK),

Consiliul Județean Suceava ‐ Department of Projects from External Funds and Diaspora (RO).

A call for tenders for this project is expected to be launched in 2023.
