The NoStaGeo final report compares and assesses territorial governance approaches that have been put in place in different institutional contexts in Europe to handle non-standard geographies and their functional interrelations, describing principles of good practice, preconditions and potentials, and highlighting limits and pitfalls. It covers four themes: a) Water management: Freshwater supply in metropolitan regions, b) Biodiversity preservation: Ecological connectivity, c) Energy transition: Local and regional energy savings, d) Industrial transition: Brown to green transition. The selected themes were chosen based on consultation with stakeholders and available data, which would allow meaningful analysis.
