ENERKOM OPAVSKO is an association formally established in 2019 in the Opava region of Moravian-Silesian Czechia, a coal transition area. This pioneering municipal-led energy community operates under the practices of municipal-led energy sharing, strengthening territorial development via an integrated approach, uniting 17 founding members from public, private, and NGO sectors. Its core activities include deploying a diverse mix of renewable energy sources and integrating smart grid technologies. The main objective is to accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels, contribute to socio-economic resilience, and ensure energy poverty reduction for vulnerable groups in the region.

I will now apply the common introductory approach to the final four case studies. This approach introduces the Energy Community (EC), states its location and legal form, highlights its core activities/focus area(s), and concludes with its main objective or achievement in the context of the energy transition.
