February 02, 2026
This factsheet is one of the annexes of the URDICO Final Report and provides an overview of Prague’s urban profile, administrative structure, and role as the Czech Republic’s capital and largest city. It outlines the city’s engagement with EU Cohesion Policy, including its past role as a Managing Authority and Intermediate Body for the Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI), as well as its current participation in national Operational Programmes.
The factsheet also highlights Prague’s selected challenges and main achievements, covering issues such as governance fragmentation, limited co-financing, and coordination with national strategies, alongside successes in metropolitan cooperation, integrated planning, and capacity building that have strengthened the city’s ability to implement EU-funded projects.
