Europe’s physical living environment faces growing, interconnected challenges—from climate risks like flooding and heat stress to geopolitical threats. The ESPON VREPO project delivers tailored resilience strategies for five stakeholder regions - one of them is Enschede (Netherlands). This report focuses on the municipality’s vulnerabilities, offering actionable solutions through spatial risk mapping, cross-sectoral governance, and the Build Back Better framework.
