Info Day ESPON 2030 in Venice
On the 5th of June 2025 at the Sala Polifunzionale of the Palazzo della Regione in Venice, took place the event ‘Quali Opportunità per i Territori’, organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, as the National Contact Point of the ESPON 2030 Program, together with the Lombardy Region and the Veneto Region.
Upravljanje vmesnih območij v Alpah - vključitev ugotovitev ESPON InTerAlp v pripravo regionalnega prostorskega načrta
Dogodek je bil namenjen predstavitvi ključnih ugotovitev evropskega projekta ESPON InTerAlp, ki je raziskoval vlogo vmesnih območij med perialpskimi nižavji in notranjimi alpskimi regijami. Udeleženci so se seznanili z rezultati kartiranja prostorskih vzorcev, tokov in trendov, ki jih je projekt pripravil kot dragoceno podlago za učinkovitejše upravljanje ter načrtovanje razvoja alpskega prostora. V Sloveniji je bila posebna pozornost namenjena pilotnemu območju Ljubljana – Julijske Alpe.

The Carpathian macroregion possesses exceptionally valuable natural capital, primarily concentrated in mountainous areas characterised by a high degree of naturalness and biodiversity. The Carpathians represent one of the most important ecological hotspots in Europe, home to numerous protected species, extensive forest complexes, and well-preserved ecosystems.
The final report of the KARPAT project analyses the state of affairs and current trends in the Carpathian area macroregion based on the Four Capitals Model, which encompasses natural, economic, human, and social capital.
[SENPO] - Territorial instruments of national policies as a tool for designing territorially sensitive policies
While the Member states embrace the Cohesion Policy’s territorial instruments, the 9th Cohesion Report dedicated a whole chapter in highlighting the fact that nationally funded policies are also important, noting that “National policies tackling regional disparities have a key role in strengthening territorial cohesion in the EU”.
