In the context of the ESPON CoBren project, seven case studies supplement the findings on the potential for offshore renewable energy (henceforth “ORE”) and its position in maritime spatial planning (henceforth “MSP”) practices. These case studies provide detailed insights into specific projects, highlighting their geographical context, MSP tools, drivers and challenges for ORE deployment, and the role of territorial cooperation.
